Reverend and the Makers will headline a fantastic evening of entertainment at the Victoria Warehouse, Manchester, on Sunday February 1 when the most eagerly-anticipated season the sport has ever faced is launched with Rugby League Rocks.

Hosted by former European and Commonwealth champion Iwan Thomas, BBC presenter Mark Chapman and sports broadcaster Natalie Quirk, Rugby League Rocks is an all-action live show that will usher in an exciting new era for the sport.

Reverend and the Makers, fronted by lead singer John McClure, supported Oasis on the largest stadium tour of the UK and Ireland in 2009 and have played at famous venues throughout the country. The Sheffield-based band have released four albums including most recently ‘Thirty Two’ and will be playing a memorable set including their top 10 single ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World’.

Rugby AM presenter Alex Simmons will be on hand to entertain the crowd with a live DJ set and the Rugby League Rockettes will be performing a series of dance routines to excite and warm-up the fans.

The event will have added stardust from a host of Rugby League stars including Ryan Hall, Eorl Crabtree, Gareth Ellis, Keiran Dixon, Josh Charnley, Dan Sarginson, Paddy Flynn, Chris Hill, Kyle Amor, Scott Moore, Chris Riley, Mason Caton-Brown, Paul Wood and Chev Walker.

Newlyweds Ryan Hall and Chris Hill will be putting their relationships on the line as they take part in a ‘Mr & Mrs’-style quiz to see if they really are the perfect match with their partners.

Fans will also see their heroes quizzed and challenged in numerous activities at Rugby League Rocks on what will be an evening to remember.
