SAINTS' newest signings Travis Burns and Atelea Vea have already linked up with some of the junior members of the Saints squad and begun training up at the Cowley complex.

Half back Burns, who joined in the off season from Hull KR, and powerful former London Broncos packman Vea are looking forward to stepping into the champion team.

The robust Tongan international Vea is a direct replacement for compatriot Willie Manu, who is heading back to Australia after a long spell in England.

The 27-year-old met with new head coach Keiron Cunningham this week and enjoyed his first gym session with a number of returning players.

The Grand Final winning squad, who were given four weeks off, will join him to start pre-season next week.

Vea said: “It’s been good and I’m glad to be here.

“I’ve done my first session with the players and there’s a lot more to come.

“I played against Saints last season and the crowd were great. It felt like somewhere I would like to be.

“I can’t wait to play in front of them.”

Fans will get an early chance to take a glimpse of Vea and Burns, who are joined by Jonny Lomax on Saturday when Saints will launch their 2015 home and away kits at a special event in the Red V Café Bar from 9.30am.

The Red V Café Bar will be selling tea and coffee and will remain open until 11am.
