SAINTS are leading Wigan 12-6 T half time of James Roby's testimonial match.
They took an early lead when good rush defence forced an error on the half way with Adam swift scooping up to fly in from half way.
Debutant scrum half Luke Walsh kicked his first points for the club to make it 6-0 after five minutes.
Wigan largely dominated the middle phase of the half due to a heavy penalty count in their favour.
They got back on level terms when Blake Green's flat pass sent Liam Farrell on 23 minutes.
Saints were warned by the ref after a series of infringements and Alex Walmsley was the unlucky next man to see yellow.
However, despite Saints being a man down they got back in front when a high ball was left by Joe Burgess, allowing Roby to nip in from close range. Walsh added his second goal.
