'Saints supporters give team an extra arm and leg', says Lance Hohaia
SAINTS will have nearly 2,000 fans at Headingley for tonight’s do-or-die play-off clash with Leeds.
The fans’ backing in recent weeks is something the players have picked up on – and another full volume effort is expected tonight.
Saints half back Lance Hohaia said: “The fans support gives us an extra arm and a leg and seeing the way we have been playing, with our best players out there, they feel entertained.
“That is what we are paid to do – it is nice to have the fans on board, cheering for us and hopefully we can give them a few more things to cheer about yet.
“Training is great, our focus is good and confidence is high and we hope that transpires on to the field “One of the most important parts of the game is the start - and we haven’t started as well as we would have liked in most games.
“The biggest disappointment was the Warrington match and we can’t afford those sorts of lapses or not start with a good intensity.
“But we have made some adjustments to our training to address that.
“Leeds have some experienced big game players in their side so I have no doubt they will come out and play well against us and we have to do the same.”
