Nathan Brown happy that Saints have a difficult run
SAINTS head to Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on Sunday defending fifth spot.
They are one point clear of Catalan Dragons, with both Hull teams two points further back.
It’s the place from which back-to-back champions Leeds have launched their assault on Old Trafford in the past two seasons.
But that position is far from nailed on – with Saints facing three tough games in their final league matches – something coach Nathan Brown welcomes.
“There is no scope for easing off and that is a good thing. We are going from Wakefield to Warrington to Hull,” he said.
“You don’t want an easy run this time of the year. You need to play the good sides, playing higher quality opposition is the best way to come into finals football.
“You don’t want to go in winning easy games by 50 points and being underdone or you will get bit on the backside when the intensity increases.
“I think we are pretty much guaranteed a play-off spot but a home game would be a good target for us now.”
