SAINTS will be looking to back up their win at Widnes when Hull FC come to Langtree Park.

Hull have a good record at Saints, winning their last two games on St Helens soil, including last term’s 22-10 win which probably set the wheels in motion for Royce Simmons’ departure from the club.

Impressive for Hull that night were Willie Manu and Jordan Turner, the latter racing the length of the field for a try.

Those two will, of course, be wearing Saints colours this time around – but their presence will add another factor to the game.

Brown said: “Hull have a lot of new recruits in there, some in key positions, Daniel Holdsworth is in the halves with a fair bit of responsibility with kicking and passing game.

"Benny Galea is going well too.”

Meanwhile the Saints boss said he and his team are working on the side’s attack, after the side appeared to lack some cutting edge on Sunday despite having plenty of ball and territory.

“We are trying to make slight adjustments and sometimes it can take a little time.

“The commitment and effort was great in defence and that is important.

“We do have work to do, though, and you look for gradual improvement.

“From a personal point of view I learn about players and learn about how use them differently. Individuals need to improve too.

“We also have Willie Manu and Jordan Turner slotting in and how are they best used, players learn that over time,” he said/
