RUSKIN suffered their first defeat of the season with a 22-19 loss at Prenton.
Twice Ruskin took the lead in the opening half, initially when Shaun Tress crashed over near the posts.
The game turned with the contentious sin binning of two Ruskin players and a penalty try being awarded to Prenton, who finally won the game in the ninth minute of injury time.
Ruskin showed skill and spirit in poor conditions, with Sam Hughes, John Ridgeon and Matty Griffiths outstanding throughout.
