WEST Park slipped to a 28-7 defeat to Widnes despite having a two-man numerical advantage at one point after half time.
The hosts were reduced to 13 men in the second half as a result of two players receiving yellow cards.
However, Park were unable to get on the scoresheet during the whole second period as Widnes hit them with 20 unanswered points after the break by scoring four tries.
The result leaves them 12th in South Lancs/Cheshire Division One, meaning they still have much work to do to stave off relegation.
The first half was a much tighter affair as Park turned around just one point in arrears, with the visitors being awarded a penalty try.
However, that was as good as it got for Park, who host high-flying neighbours Liverpool St Helens on Saturday, kick off 2.15pm.
