CONOR McGinn visited Liverpool St Helens to chat to volunteers and club secretary Lynda Lane as they took part in the NatWest RugbyForce scheme.
The initiative involves hundreds of clubs across the country and is aimed at improving rugby union facilities. At Moss Lane the volunteers were busy renovating the clubs changing rooms and during a break in the work Conor chatted with them about the club, the work they were carrying out and plans for the future.
McGinn said: "It was good to meet those down at Liverpool St Helens taking part in the RugbyForce weekend.
“RugbyForce plays an important role maintaining facilities, coaching players and providing the opportunity for people to play and watch the sports they love"
“Sport plays an important role in our community. It’s great to see initiatives like this that demonstrate the important role volunteers play in helping our sports clubs keep up and running.”
