IT is all go down at Moss Lane where Liverpool St Helens are beginning their preparations for the start of the 2014/15 season.

Andy Northey, announced by LSH as Head Coach earlier this year is now firmly at the helm and is overseeing a healthy turnout in pre-season training.

LSH are preparing for a new season in South Lancashire/Cheshire One and Northey is massively encouraged by the numbers attending training. “Things have started well” he said. “They are a great bunch of lads and show a strong work ethic. I am really looking forward to working with local lads at all levels in the club.”

Northey is not the only new appointment at Moss Lane with former prop Tommy Jackson recently installed as the new Club Chairman. Jan Lourens, Phil Kearns and Greg Smith make up Andy Northey’s backroom staff together with Darren Charlton who will have responsibility for the 2nd XV.

Training is now underway at all ages from 7 upwards and with three senior sides, anyone wishing to join in or simply find out more is welcome to come down to Moss Lane any Tuesday night from 7pm.
