Manchester 14 Ruskin 10.

THIS was possibly the worst performance of Ruskin Park’s season, with potentially the strongest team they have selected.

Ruskin simply did not have an impact on this game.

Manchester tried their hardest to pin Ruskin into the corners using the wind well with some searching kicks down field.

Some powerful forward drives gained Manchester an unconverted try before half-time with an additional penalty.

Ruskin did not retain the ball for long enough to seriously break the home side’s defence.

The second half started well with a length of the field move to gain Ruskin a fantastic converted try and it appeared they were going to take control. Unfortunately this was the only period that Ruskin controlled the game.

Another converted try by Manchester and a penalty by Ruskin was the end of this uneventful game of rugby.

On a positive note scrum half Mike O'Keefe returned to 1st team rugby and Ruskin did earn a bonus point for finishing the game within seven points.

A tough week of training and some reality for players and coaches.
