Marathon Success for the St Helens Striders!

SIX St Helens Striders took part in the Liverpool Marathon on Sunday.

The 26.2 mile long course is now in its 2nd year and there had been improvements made to the course based on last year’s feedback.

Danny Fegan scored a marathon PB and was first Strider home in 3:30:41. He was followed by John Smee in his marathon debut of an amazing 4:24:18. Jenny Lawrence also undertook her first marathon in a fantastic 4:26:39.

Andrea Hill Jones continued the first timer streak in a fabulous 4:41:22. Next was Gary Ward who crossed the line in a honourable 5:17:56.

Debbie Hill was hot on his heels in a new PB of 5:17:52, knocking 17 minutes off her time in London!

Well done to all Striders and a massive thank you to the Strider support team who shouted, cheered and encouraged everyone across the finish line.
