WITH many St Helens Striders athletes currently in marathon training mode, last weekend was a fairly quiet one on the racing front.
However, the club was represented in the Helsby 4 Villages Half Marathon, with nine of their runners braving the cold conditions.
Chris Reid crossed the line first in a time of 1hr 37mins 17secs.
He was followed home by Daniel Fegan in 1hr 38mins 01secs, Peter Moville in 1hr 46mins 50secs, Pete Medlicott 1hr 53mins 22secs, Les and Alex Abbott both in 1hr 54mins 19secs.
Further finishers for the club were Katy Taggart 2hrs 04mins 34secs, Tami Garvey-Jones 2hrs 13mins 13secs and Jo Keogh 2hrs 13mins 27secs.
