RACHEAL Fairclough successfully defended her Griffin Grind five-mile title in style.
Running on home Eccleston turf, the St Helens Strider clocked a personal best 31mins 54secs as the first woman to cross the finish line.
Clubmate Emma Callery also finished well, coming home third in a time of 34.58.
Striders tackled the Lancaster 10-mile race on Sunday.
Kevin Cairns came home first in a time of 1hr 16mins 48secs followed by Jo Jackson (1:26.34) and Rebecca McKenna (1:32.57), while Ben Lawrenson registered 1:06.19 in the York 10k.
In midweek the Astley 7k was completed by Debs Hill in 44.45.
