TWO of St Helens Sutton A.C.’s senior men Mark Liptrot and Greg Carns took part in the first ever Warrington Way run.

The Warrington Way is a new 40 mile ultra-marathon race which starts and finishes in the lovely Cheshire village of Lymm and entails 40 miles of footpaths, trails, country lanes and roads in a big anticlockwise loop around Warrington.

It is open to solo runners (doing the whole distance) and to four-person relay teams (with each person doing one 10 mile stage).

Mark competed the race in 6 hrs.41 min.00 secs and Greg Carns finished precisely two minutes later. Both deserve our congratulations.
