ST HELENS karate kid Nicole Donoghue achieved success as part of the KUGB Senior Ladies team when they took on the USA in Bielsko-Biala, Poland at the World Shotokan Karate Championships.
The New Bold teenager's next international fight will be at the European Championships in November.
In the meantime Donoghue, who won the Senior Ladies Kumite at the Inter Club Championships this weekend in Rossendale, will train for the Northern Regions Championships which take place in Sunderland later this month.
