AFTER 10 years of success at regional and national level in triathlon, Ashurst Bike Club becomes St Helens Tri from January 2015.
The new triathlon club offers a range of training sessions with qualified coaches including: Tuesday evening group ride; Wednesday evening run from the Golden Lion in Rainford; Wednesday evening indoor bike; Saturday swim at Selwyn Jones Leisure Centre; a Saturday group run; and Sunday group bike ride. St Helens Tri members regularly participate in triathlons from sprint to Ironman distance as well as bike time trials, running and cross country races throughout the year.
The club caters for novice triathletes through to national level athletes and also has a strong female and junior membership.
Membership costs £11(£5 for juniors) for the 2015 season with an optional £12 payment for England Athletics affiliation. Further information can be found at www.sthelenstri.org.uk and membership applications are available on-line at www.entrycentral.com/sthelenstri.
