ONLY one game survived in the St Helens Combination league for the second week running because of the adverse weather conditions a second division game at Beeches Sutton Road, Penlake Reserves v New Street Reserves which ended in a 2-2 draw with Shaun Westhead and Mike Rowlinson scoring for Penlake and Martin Dearden bagging a brace for New Street Reserves.
The only other St Helens Combination clubs to play were Rainford North End who played in the LCFA Junior Cup away to Formby based FC De Corona and North End came away with a 4-1 win but the other team York FC lost away to Halton Borough 3-1.
