Billinge 4 Lostock Gralam 1

FOLLOWING several spurned opportunities Bobby Jones was the man on the spot to finish off a good move from an acute angle to give the home team a well deserved 22nd minute lead.

Lostock, however, have the ability to hurt teams and when the striker found himself a yard of space to slide the ball past Steve Knowles in the Billinge goal.

On the knockings of half time a long clearance from the Billinge stopper caused confusion between the Lostock keeper and defender which Danny Murphy was quick to capitalise on and give his team a well deserved half time lead.

In the second half Billinge continued to play their football and created chances at will and in the 60th minute Bobby Jones again found himself in space and was able to convert for 3-1.

On another Billinge attack a tussle between Goulding and his counterpart saw Goulding take a stray hand to the face, his reaction to grab the culprit was enough for both parties to see yellow cards unfortunately for Goulding this was his second of the game and with it came his marching orders.

Billinge continued to dominate the game and it wasn’t long before Murphy scored his second.
