RAINFORD bounced back to form on the North Wales coast with a comfortable seven wicket win over Prestatyn.

The Welsh side were bowled out for 131 with Andy Davies claiming the honours with 5 for 43 and two wickets a-piece for Dan Houghton and Ben Hewitt.

Pravin Tambe announced his arrival with the remaining wicket.

In reply Rainford were never in trouble and 38 from Matt Bailey and 39 not out from Joe Noctor sealed the victory.

The seconds recorded their fifth win of the season with an eight wicket victory at home to Lytham.

The visitors were bowled out for 93 with Andrew Harrison (4 for 21) and Chris Spencer (3 for 21) doing the damage. Jack Hemingway (31) and Graeme Green (33 not out) saw them home.

This was followed on Sunday by a great win for the seconds in the Chester Cup defeating Northop Hall by 80 runs.

Ollie Lawrenson (81) led the away supported by Will Tabern (46) and Stephen Cline (41) as Rainford posted 243 for 8 before bowling Northop Hall out for 163.
