IT has now been confirmed that Martin Murray will square up with world champion Gennady Golovkin in 2015.
Murray, on the back of tonight's points win against experienced tough-nut Italian Domenico Spada, will go head to head with a man reputed to be one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world on February 21 in Monte Carlo.
Promoters Golden Gloves have lived up to their promises for Murray, who will now have a third shot at becoming a world champion after previous huge battless with Felix Sturm in Germany and Sergio Martinez in Argentina.
It will be the biggest fight night of Murray's career, and arguably his toughest.
Golovkin, a Kazakh boxer of Russian and Korean descent who is based in Germany, is undefeated in 31 fights - 28 of his wins having come by knockout.
