ST HELENS world middleweight title contender Martin Murray has blasted off his ring rust after opponent Ishmael Tetteh failed to come out for the seventh round.
Fighting in South Aftrica, Murray was marking the start of his career with his new promoters Golden Gloves.
There was a clear gulf in class, and although Murray spent time getting rid of the cobwebs in the opening stages, he was always in command.
Murray rocked the Ghanaian with a body shot in the sixth and that was enough to persuade his opponent not to come out for round seven.
The fight will have been just what Murray needed ahead of the first of his three tough Monte Carlo bouts on June 21.
