HAYDOCK returned to North West Men’s League action with a 34-4 success at Hindley.
After the previous week’s National Cup semi final success Saturday’s clash was considered a potential banana skin but Haydock came through.
They went in front after six minutes when hooker Mike Sexton set up man-of-the-match Connor Smith for a try converted by Steve Jones.
Two minutes later a good run by Karl Dingsdale and a precise pass sent Kyle Braithwaite rampaging away for another six points.
Hindley pulled four points back but Haydock quickly stamped out any hopes of a come back.
Dingsdale intercepted and scorched 90 metres to score and then just before half time when Smith and Andy Collier set the foundations for Rob Sexton to go over.
Haydock smartly controlled the second half and added further tries through Dean Dollin and Gary Anderton.
