PILKINGTON Recs’ fifth round Challenge Cup tie at Coventry was postponed today due to heavy snow.
The red, amber and blacks had been due to travel to the Betfred League One side for the tie on Sunday.
Alan Robison, the Coventry Bears owner, posted a picture of the scene.
He wrote: “In case of any doubt I walked to the ground this morning and conditions are ridiculous.
“We must consider not only playing conditions but conditions for travel and supporters safety also.”
A rearranged date for the cup tie will be announced.
Playing in the National Conference League Division 1, Recs are the lowest ranked team remaining in this year’s competition and previously reached the fourth round in 2016 where they fell to defeat to Championship side Halifax.
