THATTO Heath Crusaders A' are into the final of the NWML Premier Division Grand Final and will play Orrell St James at Ruskin Drive Sports Ground on Saturday, 30 September, kick off 7.30pm.

The Crusaders will be looking to create history by becoming the first A team to ever qualify for the Challenge Cup.

A place in the Grand Final was secured with a hard fought 28-12 victory over West Bank Bears in a sometimes feisty encounter.

The visitors were first on the scorecards before a fine solo effort from Captain Dave Hull on the left edge levelled matters. Heath hit the front when fine offloads from Sean Leicester and Tony Bate opened up space for Nathan Ashurst to put Jonny Rae in for a try, Shaun Quinn converted and Heath had the lead for the first time 10-4.

A penalty on the stroke of half time from Shaun Quinn gave Heath a 12-4 lead at the break.

West Bank were quick out of the blocks in the second half and reduced Heath's lead to 12-8 with an unconverted try.

A show and go from Ben Roberts and offload sent Liam Knowles in for a converted try to increase Heath's lead to 18-8. A Corey Lee cut out pass then found Aarron Dancer for a unconverted try for a 22-8 lead.

West Bank were reduced to 12 men, before the Lee/Dancer combination struck again 10 minutes from time, with Dancer racing 60 metres for a try converted by Shaun Quinn.

West Bank scored a consolation try in the final minutes.

Man of the match for Heath went to Phil Atherton who was always in the heart of the action.
