CLOCK Face Miners extended their winning run in the NCL with a convincing 34-18 win against Stanningley on Saturday.

Matty Garner scored first for Clock six minutes into the game and Jack Unsworth followed this up just a minute later when he raced 40 metres to score under the sticks and converted both tries.

Stanningley pulled one back as their hooker stepped through the Clock defence.

However, minutes later Carl Lucas raced 100m to score.

Clock’s confidence surged with Lewis Geraghty and Luke Leyden both scoring to give Clock a worthy half time 26–6 lead.

Stanningley worked to slow the pacy Clock side down in the second half and scored on 60 minutes.

However, three minutes from time, Shaun Costello scored and was tackled illegally in the act of scoring leading to an eight-point try.

Stanningley scored a late try but, this was a great performance by a youthful Clock Face team.
