HAYDOCK continued their Challenge Cup run by defeating Thornhill 30-20 in the second round.
The Yickers, who produced the shock of round one by knocking out NCL Premier Division side Wath Brow, showed the form which made them North West Men's League champions in 2016 to run out victors against the BARLA National cup holders.
Meanwhile, Pilkington Recs, whose tie with Siddal at Ruskin Drive drew the BBC Sport cameras, lost 10-34 to the NCL champions, despite having led 10-4 at the break.
Thatto Heath's tie was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
