SAINTS have wished Pilkington Recs good luck ahead of the amateur team's Challenge Cup tie against London Skolars today.
The third round clash will take place at Ruskin Drive, kick off 2.30pm, with the red, amber and blacks hoping home advantage can help them to an upset over the semi-professionals.
A Saints spokesman said they expect "a unique" community game atmosphere: "Everyone at Saints wishes Pilkington Recs all the best in their Challenge Cup game against London Skolars on Saturday!
"We’re sure they will do not only themselves proud, but the superb and close knit rugby league community in St Helens too.
"We did offer for the game to played at Langtree Park – but we fully understand their decision to decline .
"It will no doubt to create a special and unique community game atmosphere at their own home ground and give them a real edge.
"From everyone at the club… rip in boys!"
