TWO tries either side of the halftime interval from the home side gave them an 18-10 advantage however Brook responded magnificently running in 30 unanswered points to record their first away of the campaign.

Oldham made the perfect when after only two minutes a chip kick into the corner produced a try for wingman Thomas McMullen. Kiel Lancashire soon added a penalty to stretch their lead.

Brook had to defend well to prevent in the early stages to prevent their hosts from extending the lead.

Brooks first real attack came after 13 minutes and they nearly scored however an unfortunate bounce of the ball took the chance away from Stephen Parkinson following a chip kick from Jordy Welsby.

On the 20 minute mark the visitors drew level Jack Parker broke away down the left channel he farmed a difficult pass out to Stephen Parkinson who did well to hold on and score in the corner Parkinson also added a touch line conversion.

Brook then had to defend three sets of six on their own line before breaking away to snatch the lead. It was the Parker and Parkinson combination again that unlocked the defence this time an inside pass found Danny Fairhurst who went over for an unconverted try.

The home went back in front on the stroke of half time when Alan Williamson burrowed his way over from close range with Lancashire converting.

They extended the lead just after restart with another close range try from David Sweeny again converted by Lancashire.

Minutes later a fumble by the Oldham Full Back gave Brook an attacking scrum close to the try line from the scrum Parkinson went close he quickly regained his feet and from the ruck Deon Cross fooled the defence and sent Parkinson over a try in corner his second touch line conversion reduced the arrears further.

Mid way through the half Brook regained the lead Parkinson looked to in for his hat-trick only to have the ball pulled from his possession however Jimmy Brown was on hand to touch down for an opportunist try Parkinson again converted from wide out.

Within two minutes Brook extended their lead it was Parkinson again picking up a loose ball deep inside his own half and racing clear to score under the posts he added the conversion and added a penalty soon after to stretch the lead to 28-18.

Brook pressed home their advantage as Oldham's defence wilted.

Scott Davidson came on a powerful run close the try line to score knocking several would be tacklers out of his way and Parkinson soon added his fourth try another long distance effort selling the Oldham full back an outrageous dummy on the way.

Parkinson added both goals to finish the afternoon with 28 points.

There was time for Carl Fields to go over for a consolation try for Oldham converted again by Lancashire.

Stephen Parkinson collected the NW Maintenance Solutions Man of the Match award along with the Tisdalls Players Man of the Match with hard working Stephen Marsh also in contention.
