Diamonds keep up their 100 per cent record

WITH only two games in the Premier Division played Diamonds again kept up their 100 per cent record with a 5-1 home win against St Helens Town Res with goals from Dean, Melville, Hillier, Furlong and Godfrey and Perry scoring the consolation for Town Reserves In the other game Parr Cons Workingmens had a 1-0 win against York FC with a goal from Dean Critchley.
In the R & G Trophies Sponsored Division One; Prescot Sun Res & Mere FC drew three apiece with Brian Furlong 2 and David Pennington scoring for Prescot.
Wheaty and Sumner Street drew 2-2 with, goals for Wheaty coming from Leyland and Styles and the scorers for Sumner Street were Fairhurst & Jordan Kilbride.
