Both teams started well with the defences of both sides sustaining lots of pressure, with Leigh East making the most of a good field position they kicked an early penalty to score the opening two points of the game.
Leigh East again had a good field position when they played the ball on Thatto Heath's line giving a short pass for Declan Flannery to crash over on 33mins 0-6 to Leigh East.
This kicked Thatto Heath into gear when good approach play to the Leigh East line saw Tommy Davies throw a dummy from half back to go over on 37mins, to make the scores 6-6 at half time.
The second half started the same as the first , with both sides working overtime on defence and when Easts knocked on Dave Meadows picked up the loose ball and raced away before offloading to the supporting Danny Carney to score on 40mins 12-6.
Thatto Heath were on the attack again and with quick hands , passed the ball from one side to the other to send Tommy Davies over for his second try on 46mins 16-6 to Thatto Heath.
Man of the match went to James Marsh who worked hard in defence and made yards with every carry, a close 2nd was Matty Range who caused problems at half back and Tommy Davies scoring 2 tries.
Overall it was a very pleasing performance from Thatto Heath which now takes them into the play offs in a bid to get to there second successive grand final and to retain there crown as champions, Thattto Heath now play Dewsbury Celtic at home next Sunday in the first round of knock out rugby.
