JAMES Roby has won the award for Super League's top metre maker at tonight's Man of Steel awards at Old Trafford cricket ground.

The Saints number nine, who is in the Man of Steel shortlist with Ben Westwood and Sam Tomkins, made 3,971 metres in action in 2012.

Catalan's Daryl Millard was given the try of the year award for his last gasp touchdown against Saints in February.
