FORMER Saints prop James Graham is facing an allegation he bit Melbourne’s Billy Slater in Australia’s NRL Grand Final.

Graham’s Canterbury Bulldogs went down 14-4 against the Storm in Sydney on Sunday.

Now the ex-Saints captain, who lost five consecutive Super League Grand Finals before moving Down Under, finds himself at the centre of the biting allegation.

Graham, 27, who has enjoyed an outstanding first season with the Bulldogs, was put on report following a melee that erupted after Canterbury winger Sam Perrett scored in the 26th minute.

After the brawl Slater claimed he was bitten on the ear and television slow-motion replays focussed on Graham tangling with the Melbourne full back.

The flashpoint is making headline news over in Australia.

Reports say Graham is due to link up with England for their training camp in South Africa next week.

However, if he is found guilty and suspended by the NRL disciplinary, he could miss the autumn internationals against France and Wales.
