The game ended in a a 1-1 draw with Connor Irving scoring Vulcan's goal.
This was a good performance from Vulcan who deserved to take al three points. Leigh Marsden was Managers Man of the Match.
Vulcan Reserves travelled to Widnes to take on Widnes Village in Division 5 and came away suffering a 5-1 defeat. Scott Davidson scored Vulcan's goal in a game which was spoiled by dubious refereeing decisions.
Scott Robinson played superbly in his first outing for the team and was awarded Manager's Man of the Match.
Both teams are in action on Saturday with the first team travelling to Halewood Village to take on Old Holts in the Liverpol Cup, kick off 2pm, and the reserves playing Burtonwood Albion 3rds at home in Division 5, kick off 3pm.
