Langtree Park to host Liverpool FC's under 19s European clashes

LANGTREE Park will once again play host to Liverpool FC NextGen Series fixtures.

Following the successful Ajax match last season which saw more than 6,000 fans cheer on the future of the club, officials have chosen the home of the Saints for at least two more games.

They will take on Rosenberg on November 13 and Dortmund on the 28th.

Dave Hutchinson, head of sales and marketing at Saints, said: “I think it is great for the borough of St Helens and for the wider communities of the region that we can attract this calibre of match.

“We have already hosted International Rugby League and will be a key part of the Rugby League World Cup in 2013 when Australia face Fiji here.

“Liverpool are one of the most successful clubs in the world and have a great history.

“We are delighted that following the popularity of last season’s game that the club have once again decided to play their matches here.

“The facilities we can offer are second to none and I’m sure players and football fans alike will be impressed.”

The games will kick off at 7pm and ticket details will be announced via Saints and Liverpool in due course.
