West Park plan for new campaign

WEST Park made an early start to the rugby union season at Barnard Castle where they competed in the Help for Heroes Charity 10s tournament.

Park finished runners up to a strong Fijian Army 10, who included one full international in their side.

Preparations continue for the start of the season under coach Chris Stabler, with a mixed trial game against Liverpool Collegiate taking place on Saturday.

Their first competitive game is at home to Rochdale on August 25 followed by a home league game in South Lancashire One against Broughton Park.

Training nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.30pm and new players are welcome.
