SAINTS have named their 19-man squad for Thursday’s Super 8s away trip to Wakefield Trinity, writes Nathan Okell.

Jack Ashworth has been recalled to the side after impressing against Wigan last month, while Aaron Smith is also drafted in to possibly make his debut.

Making way from last week is Adam Swift, who suffered a shoulder injury in the latter stages of Friday’s defeat to Huddersfield, and Luke Thompson, who is suspended for one match for accidentally throwing a match ball at an official while celebrating his try.

The club have decided not to appeal the prop forward’s ban, with fears it could be increased and cause him to miss the side’s clash with arch-rivals Wigan in two weeks’ time.

Scott Grix is back in contention for the hosts after recovering from a shoulder injury which has kept him out since May, taking the place of Keegan Hirst in Chris Chester's squad.
