ROBERT Chesters kicked off a spectacular Ironman UK week for St Helens Tri clocking 1:01:41 in his 25 mile time trial debut on the D25/3 course and the superteam of Myka and Che heard took resounding age group victories at the Ullswater Triathlon.

The main event of the week, however, was Ironman UK where the club enjoyed standout performances aplenty including Kevin Dudley finishing in 11:25:50 and Michael Forber, Mike Gregory and Will Bardin completing the course in under 12 hours, the trio split by less than four minutes. Other highlights included recent new member Ryan Hume beating 13 hours and longtime half-Ironman competitor Debra Rayment finishing in under 14:45 on her first attempt at stepping up to the full distance.

George and Lynette Houghton continue to excel at obstacle course racing, taking second and fifth age group placings in the Spartan Sprint at Market Harborough. Meanwhile Sally Bearon set the fastest bike split en route to second place at Tristars Start level at the Holmfirth Junior Triathlon.
