PILKINGTON teams Vikings and Crusaders did battle at Ruskin.

Winning the toss, Vikings chose to field and quickly dismissed the opposition for 1 (2 ½’s) in 21 balls from Di Kenny.

In reply, Vikings faced 33 balls and scored 8½ with full rounders from Steph Dagger, Rachel Irwin, Carolyn Slater (2) and Michelle Mulcahy.

For once they were not in a position to declare.

For their second innings, Crusaders had to face the bowling of erstwhile England bowler, Kathleen Bridge and were held to one ½ from 17 balls.

The Club’s other team (Eagles) were away to Wild Cats at Haresfinch Rugby Club and pulled off an amazing draw – 13 all.
