ENGLAND international George Williams has been ruled out of this Saturday’s Test match against New Zealand in Denver.

The squad arrived in America on Sunday and Williams was assessed by the England medical staff.

He has been ruled out with a knee injury suffered in Wigan’s win at Hull FC on Saturday.

He will remain in camp this week in Denver and continue to receive treatment from England.

No replacement will be brought into the squad.

Saints Jonny Lomax is likely to partner Gareth Widdop in the halves, with Stef Ratchford at full back.

Williams absence will however mean another option will be needed to jump in at dummy half should James Roby need spelling.
