THE timekeeper's finger was on the hooter, some fans were drifting to the exits, others had already left their seats in the North Stand when Ben Barba showed why you just cannot take your eyes off him for a second.

Hull KR had possession for what was the last tackle of the game when Chris Clarkson attempted to kick through to snatch what would have been a late consolation.

Instead it went into the hands of Mark Percival, who used his footwork to wriggle clear of his own line and then found Barba.

The ace full back, who had already scored in the first half, set off like a pocket rocket down the flank and the cover got nowhere near him.

It send the fans home with something to cheer, after what had been an often hard-going, stop-start, encounter.

Bernard Platt captured Barba's streak to the line.
