A FORMER Bleak Hill Rovers junior is about to make his international debut after being scouted by the Chinese Taipei national team.
Tim Chow, who hails from Windle, has flown out to join training camp in Doha for preparation ahead of their 2019 Asian Cup Qualifier match against Turkmenistan on 14 November.
The 23-year-old played junior football at St Helens Town, before joining Wigan Athletic as a nine-year-old where he stayed and eventually made his first team debut with the Latics in August 2015.
Chow joined Scottish Premier Division outfit Ross County - 383 miles north of St Helens - in August 2016.
Although Chow is from St Helens, he qualifies for Taipei on the grandparent rule with his late grandfather being born over there.
