THIRTY years ago Saints suffered a heartbreaking 19-18 Challenge Cup defeat by Halifax at Wembley.
Tries from Mark Elia, Paul Round and Paul Loughlin were not enough with John Pendlebury's drop goal being the difference.
Saints took around 30,000 fans to the capital that day- remarkably Halifax's support was even bigger.
