MARK Livingston is one of St Helens Tri's long standing members. A veteran of several Ironman races, he has focused mainly on ultra runs in recent years but has returned to the triathlon circuit this year and was rewarded with a top 10, and third veteran, at the Bassenthwaite Triathlon last Saturday.

On the same day the club enjoyed a Parkrun double as rising star Emma Austin was first lady home in St Helens by over 40 seconds while Robert Chesters overhauled the early leader to take a thrilling victory at Widnes in a time of 17:53.

Chris Green and the Thatto Cycles race team enjoyed a productive Sunday at the Stockport Open Water triathlon where he placed second and won his age group while Harriet King's progression to the senior ranks continued apace as she cracked the top 30 at the Coniston Mile open water swim.
