A SERIES of second half errors by Clock Face Miners gifted a 28-30 win to the visiting Eastmoor Dragons.

Clock Face and Eastmoor exchanged early first half tries with Karle Hunt and Michael Carney both going over for the home side. However, Clock scored two further tries through Peter Becker and a second for Hunt with Jack Highcock converting both to give Clock a worthy 22-12 half time lead.

The second half didn’t start well for Clock as a series of handling errors gifted Eastmoor field position from which they scored. Eastmoor then edged in front when they scored following a kicked through on a free play from another Clock mistake.

They cemented their lead with another try but Carney cut the lead to two points with a try seven minutes from time to set -up a grandstand finish.

However, Clock just couldn’t find that extra score to win the game.
