SAINTS boss Justin Holbrook sang the praises of Saints hooker James Roby following his man-of-the-match display at Castleford.

Roby scored a try and made 59 tackles in Saints’ 26-12 triumph at the league leaders.

“I get the pleasure of watching Roby play every week and seeing what he does for us so I said it’s not just his toughness, his creativity, he’s super fit and just the way he plays the game is great,” said Holbrook.

“You can have your tough number nines buy they can be grubby type players but Robes is a gentleman the way he plays the game and he’s as tough as anyone and just gets on and plays his rugby league in a great fashion.

“He’s a great role model for any kid coming through in our game. The way he conducts himself and the way he plays and everything about him is quality.

“He’d play every day of the week if you asked him, there’s definitely not many of him in the game.”
