SCHOOLS competed in an exciting badminton competition held last Friday at St Helens Broadway Badminton Centre.
The competition was the final stage of a Badminton into Schools Initiative (BISI) funded by Badminton England.
Schools signing up for the programme had six weeks of coaching prior to the event delivered by Excel Badminton Coaching.
The tournament consisted of two parts – skills based games and a round-robin doubles match.
Victory went to St Aidan’s Primary School for the second year running followed closely by St Peter & St Paul.
Allanson Street narrowly missed out on 3rd place by a mere 2 points to St Aidan's B coming in 4th and 5th position."
