WARRINGTON 10k midweek saw a Strider couple claim double victory with two PBs.

Rob Andrews in 48:49 and Christine Kennedy in 53:46.

Andrews also competed the Alderley Edge 10k on Sunday gaining another PB of 45:02

The weekend was busy once again with a big strider turn out at Southport. Jon-Jo Doherty was second male finisher overall and first strider in the 10k event in a time of 35:00 followed by Kevin Monaghan in 50:15.

The remaining Striders stayed on the course a little longer for the half marathon. First finisher was Scott Robertson in a PB sub 90 minute time of 1:26:08 followed by Eric Ranson in 1:31:43, David Brisco 1:33:24, Martin Ballard 1:35:05, Paul Booth 1:36:57, Wendy Davies 1:41:56, Tony Dagnall 1:44:02, Pete Medlicott 1:51:08, Sean Ahearn 1:52:26, Peter Teeling and Colin Wilson in 1:55:10, Jade Booth and Rachael Tickle 2:09:28 and Kevin Winstanley 2:15:59.

Additionally we had some individual races out at the weekend.

Kev Brennan completed a challenging ultimate trail, a whopping 55k in the Lake District at Ambleside.

Chevy Chase in Northumbria which was a 20 mile fell race in Cheviots was completed by Simon Poole and Gary Spriggs.

Gary Eccleston also commented the Warrington 5 mile event as part of their seasonal series as well as two Striders going to warmer climates whilst on holiday to take part in the 5 mile San Javier in Spain.
