SAINTS boss Justin Holbrook said he would have no qualms about playing Ben Barba at Leeds tomorrow night IF the club wins its appeal against the transfer of his ban from NRL to Super League.

The hearing in front of an independent Operational Rules Tribunal takes place later today.

Barba was not named in the 19, but Mark Percival has dropped out due to suspension so there would be space should the tribunal find in Saints and Barba's favour.

Holbrook declared: “I would be happy to play Ben Barba at Leeds.

“He has been training with us, so he would be good to go if we were to get a good result there.

“There would be room for him in the team.”

Barba was banned for 12 games after testing positive for cocaine in November 2016 and has so far served five matches in England..
