Clock Face Miners got back to winning ways in the NCL with a 29-22 win in a pulsating match against Oldham St Annes.
Clock got the scoring underway when Lewis Geraghty scooted over. However, Oldham where quick to level matters as their centre broke clear to score. A Nathan Ashcroft try put Clock back in front but, an Oldham try gave the visitors a 10–12 half time lead.
The second half started brightly for Clock as a huge Ashcroft kick was knocked back to Jordan Eccleston to score.
But, in a tit for tat game the visitors scored again to level matters. Joe McSpirit put Clock back in front however, Clock edged further in front as Tom Taylor scored under the sticks.
Oldham set up a tense final six minutes when they scored to get within six points of Clock.
However Shaun Costello, having kicked 4 conversions, put the game to bed with a final minute drop goal.
